Warrington Quiz League

The draw has been made for the Challenge cup, with the following groups having been drawn.

Group matches take place on 12th October, 9th November and 14th December, with the later rounds on 8th Feb, 8th March and 10th May 2017. Full fixture details can be found in the fixture calendar for the relevant dates.

Endemol are looking for teams of FIVE PEOPLE to take part in a BRAND NEW general knowledge quiz for ITV.

So, if you and your family/ friends/work mates/ pub quiz team think you’ve got what it takes then drop them a line.

Would any of you be interested in playing in a couple of trial runs of a new ITV Quiz Show?

The quiz is being written and developed by some of the same team behind University Challenge, and their aim is that it's a robust academic challenge - but not as recondite as UC can be! It's pitched at families of Sporcle addicts and board game lovers.

They are looking for clever, confident teams of three family members - a parent, child and grandparent. Ideally, the child on the team will be aged 10/11/12.

They are beta-testing a couple of versions of the format in their MediaCity offices on Friday 4th August and Thursday 1st September, and are really keen to have real families come in and play.

You’ll face questions based on quirky facts, funny stories and random knowledge from around the world plus take part in timed comedy challenges and scavenger hunts all over your house, involving Mum, Dad, siblings, Aunts, Uncles, friends, neighbours and anyone else who happens to be there.

The series will be filmed 16^th – 31^st JULY 2016.

HOW TO APPLY

If you’re aged between 8 and 13 on September 1^st 2015 and think this sounds like a good laugh please fill in the application form you can find here:.  You’ll need to get your parent’s permission and there’s a form for them to fill in too.

The closing date for signed applications with photos is FRIDAY 10th JUNE 2016.
